Planning

Internally – continue to develop our proposition further. Complete the Development a Plan with specific actions. Put in place the basics – financial systems, mechanisms to take donations and give receipts. We already have a bank account.

Collaboration - Engage with the Ministry and others (e.g. NZEI, NZCER) to understand what opportunities might exist to work collaboratively or to deliver consulting/advisory type services. How can we work together with Daisies – collaborating for greater collective impact. Use our networks to come up with some other big ideas.

Funding - Investigate philanthropy as a potential funding source.  Contact key philanthropic entities like the Tindall Foundation. Launch an initial, small-scale, campaign to raise funds through donations.  Be clear about that this funding will be used for. Test out 2-3 grant applications to get feedback on what they like and what they don’t like.

Marketing - Develop our web page, logo – a “presence” and identity. Consider launching some sort of media campaign.  Social media, The Spinoff, maybe The Listener.
